OUR TARGET MARKET

Concussions that do not heal within a year - Chronic TBI - is a huge unmet medical need

Here are some key facts to paint the scope of the chronic TBI problem.

In the US, we estimate there are about 1 million new cases per year, more than Breast, Colon, Lung, and Prostate Cancer combined!

Chronic TBI affects more than athletes and solders, 85% is us and our family, principally due to accidents and falls.

We estimate there are 10 million patients living with this condition day-to-day in the US, and 10x that amount worldwide

Recently published research shows that, on balance, if a concussion patient has not recovered within a year they are not likely to ever recover.  The graph on the right is taken from a JAMA publication written by TRACK-TBI investigators, the leading TBI research consortium in the US, and shows that in different cohorts and using different measurements, if you are not 100% recovered one-year post-injury you will not recover.
